New smartphone freezing up on me?

I just got the Kyocera Hydro from Boost. I posted a question a couple days ago about the battery life, but I found an app that helps a lot with that. I’ve had the phone for less than a week and I absolutely love it, but yesterday it froze up on me while I was on the web. It wouldn’t turn off, so I had to remove the battery in order to get it to work. It was fine after that until a few minutes ago. I got a text, so I tried to turn the screen on, but it wouldn’t do anything. It was on, because the alert light was blinking, but the screen wouldn’t respond. I took the battery out again and it worked just fine.

I’m not sure what to do. I didn’t read about others having this problem with this particular phone, so should I go and get a new one of the same kind? Get a totally different phone? Or should I just deal with it? It’s not such a huge deal now, but if it gets worse, I don’t want to be stuck with it when it’s been too long to take it back to the store.
