Why when I press the "answer" button, nothing happens? it`s rather irksome!

Asked by SuperOzra (20points) September 20th, 2012

I have been trying to join discussions, but the “answer” button does nothing! Very irksome, spending time typing then having nothing happen.

Try hitting the bottom part of it with your cursor.

Do you type anything into the answer box prior to clicking “answer”?

What browser and OS are you using?

@tom_g I don’t think OP can answer those questions if the “answer” button isn’t working.

@DigitalBlue That’s how us males think. :) Good point. How can we communicate with him?

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

@SuperOzra Occassionally my internet server and my computer have connection problems. Usually I pull the power on the net server for 15 seconds and then reconnect it. Worse case I shut the computer down and pull the power at the same time.

@DigitalBlue – I have confidence that we have a smart one here. If the OP was able to ask a question, then the OP should be able to communicate with us in this manner (asking another question).

Try clearing your cache (history/cookies) and restarting your browser. That usually fixes everything. If it’s still not working, send me a PM (send a message to me on my profile page) and I’ll try to help you.

Try restarting your computer.

Try using a different browser to see if you’re having the same problem.

Try refreshing the page.

The most obvious answer is, you need to type in your answer in the box before hitting the answer button.

Are you using the old Fluther App by any chance?

If so, just go to Fluther with your browser instead.
