Can Macs run MineCraft?

Asked by AxeZax94 (7points) October 17th, 2012

I’ve got an iMac and I just wondered if I go through the minecraft.net site and click buy now, will it be compatible for my Mac? I have the latest version of OS X Mountain Lion which I regularily update.
This is the page where you can buy the game, if I do click buy – will it work?http://minecraft.net/store

Yes. Minecraft runs in Java, which is compatible with both Macs and PCs.

Ny husband tries to bogart the Mac and play on it. It doesn’t work for him only because I don’t allow him to play on here. He ran me off the PC so he could play his PC only games. He’s not running me off the Mac because minecraft makes a better world for him on it.

Long story cut short: Yep it runs on Mac. I wish it didn’t though.
