Do you have multiple cards on your PayPal account?

Asked by _Whitetigress (4378points) October 20th, 2012

I ask because I want to add a card to my account. I currently just have my bank card.

What I really want to know is, after I set up my second card on PayPal, upon check out of an item on a website, do I get to choose which card to use on PayPal? Or will it select the “designated” card or something of that nature? Thanks!

It’s set to a default method of payment (which I believe you can choose on your account of the Paypal website), but when making a purchase you do get the opportunity to change it for that transaction. It’s an easy link to skip, though, so read everything before you finalise payment.

I’m using just one card. It’s not my primary bank card. I purposely got a second account and card from my bank specifically for any Internet transactions.

I only keep a small amount of money on it and add to it when necessary with a simple phone call to my bank.

This way, if there’s ever any fraud from any source, I only lose the amount on that card. There is no access to my primary account.
