Why is my Blackberry continually showing a moving "timer" symbol every time I try to do something on it?

Asked by jca (36062points) October 28th, 2012

Since last night, the majority of the time I try to take a photo, upload a photo or send/read a text or email, there is a “timer” symbol in the middle of the screen. There is a hand going around on the timer, and the screen is frozen for varying amounts of time. Then it will unfreeze and I can continue on doing what I was doing.

I am not very tech savvy and I have not played a lot with this phone, so I have no idea what’s going on with it. Any ideas?

Have you tried to remove the battery and reset it? It could be the internet supplier or your internet connections on it. However, I am no whiz either. So there, I gave it a bash. It sounds to me like the net connection is timing out.

Maybe it’s time for you to upgrade. Since you’re not tech savvy may I suggest the new iPhone?

I googled it and it suggested the first “fix” would be to remove battery. I did that and it’s working fine now!

@Sponge: It’s supplied by my employer so I take what I get!
