Is Florida where democracy goes to die?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33157points) November 8th, 2012

The polls have been closed for 36 hours. 49 of the 50 states have been able to count their votes and report them. (and Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia).

And then there is Florida, the historical Dunces in the Election system. They seem to be utterly incompetent in the ability to collect and count votes. Does the republican governor have a hand in this (like he did in 2000?)

Or is Florida the American version of a banana republic, where the big corporations tell everyone else how to live?

To me, Florida is an embarrassment. What’s going on down there? Why are they at the center or election legerdemain time after time after time?
