Has anyone ever been a Soccer coach for young kids?

My son is 6 yrs old and loves the game. Another session starts up in Jan. 2013 and the organization needs more soccer coaches. I’ve always loved the game and I thought it will help me meet new people. What was your thoughts of coaching? Would you do it again? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
