Merry almost-Christmas everyone!! So who's having a secret Santa this year?

Asked by Luiveton (4162points) December 15th, 2012

What are your plans this year? Are you going to participate in any events? Are you excited? Secret Santa? What kinds of gifts are you expecting? :)
Merry Christmas to all of you. Even if you don’t celebrate!

-With Love to you all xx

(Oh, and I need a favor; can you suggest any suitable and fun alcoholic drinks for Christmas? I like that pink stuff…)

I’m doing a secret santa with my team at work. There are 12 of us on the team, I’ve drawn the new girl that I don’t know at all, so I have no idea what to get her. My favourite Christmas drink is mulled wine

I remember a Christmas while in college, my room mate worked at large hotel at night he went to school during the day. We had the people over for snacks and eggnog, someone was mixing 50–50, eggnog and 151 proof dark Rum.
Taxi drivers got a lot of business that night.

I’m not doing secret Santa and have never done secret Santa. It’s just as well. I never know what to get people, anyway. It seems like a self-defeating custom to me.

We’re doing Secret Santa at work, this coming Monday as a matter of fact. I got the one person I had no idea what to get – a former programmer now on our operations desk, she is from another culture and the only thing I know about her is she goes to church.

I got her a nice coffee “go cup” at REI, and I’ll get her a Starbucks gift card to go with it.

I don’t expect to get anything. If I get a gif it will be a surprise.

Where I used to work we did secret santa, it was ok. I prefer dirty santa better than secret santa or picking one name in general.
