WTF? Wile E. Coyote could outrun The Road Runner by almost 2/1. Is anything sacred anymore?

While a roadrunner is the fastest running bird capable of flight, its top ground speed is just 20–26 MPH (32.2–41.8 KPH). A coyote can lope along at 43 MPH (69.2 KPH). Despite the poor cartoon coyote’s ineptitude at catching the roadrunner, in real life, Wile E. Coyote could easily run down the Road Runner unless it had time to take to flight. For that matter, a fast human sprinter could catch a roadrunner. Will this news put Acme out of business? What’s this world coming to when you can’t even believe news you get from cartoons?
