I just bought an AV Cable for my iPod touch and I can't see anything on the tv?

do I have to turn any setting on my iPod?

Yes, under video settings there should be a setting under video settings that says TV out, there’s two video options on my old iPod so if you have a new one it might be different. I’m sure you’ll figure it out.

Are you sure you have the proper input selected on your TV?

And the only setting for video on the iPod Touch that would effect this is the one that chooses between NTSC and PAL. You want it to be on NTSC.

I have it on NTSC, but I just found out that the cable I got doesn’t work with my iPod touch, thanks all anyway.. I got the dynex one…

If you were hoping to get video out from the headphone jack, the bad news is they eliminated that on the iPod touch, so you’ll need a cable that plugs into the dock connector jack.

i thought they still work on the ipod touch, but it just needs to be an apple brand one and not a different brand? cuz i bought a dock in november that came with a video out cord, but its not an apple brand dock, and the cord doesnt work for video out, and neither does using it with the dock, but sound works. same with my brothers ipod classic.
