If you could afford to have any band or any individual singer at your next private party, who or what band would you choose?

Asked by jca (36062points) February 25th, 2013

A few years ago, someone in my family, someone rich (they’re all rich except for me LOL), was looking into having Eric Clapton play at his birthday party. I believe, if I remember correctly, the cost would have been 20k at the time.

If you could afford to have any band or any individual sing/perform at your next private party, who would you choose?

Loreena McKennitt.

She’s my favourite person I’ve yet to see live. I don’t blame her for never coming to Florida, though. Fans down here suck.

David Byrne. He puts on a great show, and his music is great for dancing! When I’ve seen him, the whole audience is up dancing!

This band! They are rumored to throw one hell of a good party every time they give a concert. Unfortunately they never come stateside. I did see them once years ago in Washington DC and another time in New York.

Here’s an example of a slower song with vocals.
