10 month old baby hurt mouth how should I help him?

Asked by pleiades (6617points) March 1st, 2013

So he has two bottom teeth and his tops are coming in. While he was walking around the bed he slipped hit his chin and looks like bottom teeth drove up against top middle tooth causing it to bleed. He is ok and calm and bleeding seems minimal but I feel I should put hydrogen peroxide on the wound?

No. Hydrogen peroxide actually damages tissue (and causes vomiting if swallowed).

And by now it seems the bleeding has stopped for update.

Do you have an iced teething ring? That would help.

Anything cold will help. Just don’t use peroxide at that age.

You probably don’t want to use any irritant. The advice above is great. Freeze carrots or bagels if you don’t want to use a pacifier or teething ring.

Dental Glyoxide is made for mouth owies, but I doubt you have any. Just time and a freezable teething ring should work.
