Does this mean anything at all? Help me this is strange?

Asked by SIGNS_TT (133points) March 9th, 2013

Okay so when my father was on a trip to pick up some friends for Mardi Gras, He was driving. All of a sudden 3 dogs run out into the busy highway from the woods. So 1 of them my dad stops in time to save but the other 2 get carried by the front of a car like 10 feet and die. The thing: he has 3 children. Me, and my 2 bros.

First off don’t put this stuff in general, superstitious cr*p like that belongs in the social section at best. Second of all, I have no idea what you’re smoking but it sure isn’t doing you any good man. How old are you? The only thing this means is your dad mashed up 2 dogs. Sh*t happens.

Oh, and welcome to Fluther ;-)

Oh and my mom once saw 2 identical dogs running alongside different sides of her car, and when I say identical, I mean NOTHING was different about them

No some other car did that to the 2 dogs

@SIGNS_TT well then even better because he doesn’t have to feel guilty about it. Seriously man, it means nothing. Take a deep breath and go read a book or something.

Dude I got to agree with @fremen_warrior it was simply coincidence.

Are you like Chicken Little or something, you saw something and now you think the sky is going to fall?

I think you’re joking around. @SIGNS_TT

What happened to the dog that survived?

What do you want to hear, that two of your father’s children are going to die? What effect would that have on your life? Would you do anything differently?

There is nothing to read from this story. The dogs are dogs. Your brothers are your brothers. That’s all.

The actual answer is that there is no correlation between your father’s unfortunate accident with the dogs and the fact that he has 3 children. Think about that and see what you come up with.

Loose dogs are unpredictable. Sometimes dogs run out into the street and get hit by cars. It probably happens every day at least somewhere in the world. There’s a lot of dogs and a lot of cars.

Your dad has 3 kids. So what? He could have zero or 16 kids, or even no kids. The amount of kids that one has, has no relationship to dogs getting hit by cars. That’s kind of like suggesting that eating an orange on a Tuesday has something to do with snowfall in San Antonio, TX.

I am curious to know what made you think the incidents were connected, though.

“Oh and my mom once saw 2 identical dogs running alongside different sides of her car, and when I say identical, I mean NOTHING was different about them”

So the left side of one dog was a mirror reflection of the other dog right side? That is amazing! But it’s not identical… unless your mom could see the other side of each dog too. But she seems pretty amazing being able to stay on the road while looking back and forth left to right. Your mom sound cool. I hope you are good to her.

Your mom saw the dogs? I thought your dad saw the dogs? Do you have a sleeping disorder that might be genetic? You should go to the sleep clinic. Seriously.

You are reading waaaay too much into things that have no meaning. Between your dream question and this one, that much seems obvious. You might want to think about why this is so, and possibly consider counseling to better deal with things that are troubling you.

@nofurbelowsbatgirl
My mom saw the 2 identical dogs, my dad was in the thing with the 3 dogs,

I also have strange things going on in my house:
My alarm goes off when I did not set it
I hear people call my name when no one is there
I hear loud noises in my house when no one is with me
I see human shaped shadows around my house, then they dissapear

@SIGNS_TT The things that you have described sound like signs of mental illness. You should probably make an appointment to see your regular doctor, and if he rules out other physical illnesses or possible drug or medication interactions or side effects, he/she can refer you to a doctor or therapist. Good luck, it sounds like you’ve been suffering for awhile.

@SIGNS_TT I agree with @Kardamom.

The next best thing you can do for yourself is really need to seek professional help. Ok? Without help it will never get better.
