The idea that my life is now entirely in my own hands and that I don’t have a partner to help or hinder me. How do I deal with it? Sometimes with planning: sometimes with Xanax.

@janbb I was thinking love. Whether it’s an adult or a small child. If I give up my heart it can be hurt.

1) Being stalked.

2) Restraining order.

Sometimes the state of my health makes me feel vulnerable. As a Type 2 diabetic, I have to continuously monitor my diet and blood sugar levels. People with diabetes can also be prone to sudden blood sugar swings from high to low levels which is a little disconcerting.

Wet shorts, I avoid wearing them if it looks like rain out.

Only talking about my father and siblings, and my loved ones health.

At my young old age, my health is where I feel most vulnerable. It’s okay but far from perfect. Second to that is finances.

Finances primarily. I am going through a rough time right now after years of blissful financial independence. I am having to move from my home of 7 years soon into a room mate situation for the first time in my life while I recover from buying the farm over here. lol
I am trying to stay positive, and there are lots of positives, but, I have gone from having a wonderful place in the country with a decent nest egg and work I loved to being almost broke.

I am also concerned about giving up my own space after years of living alone and loving it!
I will adjust but it is going to be a big adjustment for awhile.
Scary, but….this is life, shift happens.

When I’m broke. Or when I am sick. That’s about it.

Having a lot of decisions to make and NOT having all the answers.

@Sunny2 We never have all the answers. Sometimes we have to wing it. We just need to give others some slack if they’re wrong.

Tornadoes. And we are quickly approaching those days again. Uggh.

Not being able to achieve the requirements of my job because the requirements are unrealistic and I can’t do anything to change things.

@woodcutter I second that brother!! :(

@KNOWITALL You have a hole in the ground there I hope :/

KNOWITALL's avatar

@woodcutter Caves and sink holes maybe, lol. Seriously though, a lot of people have splurged on them, I am a weather freak so I just watch them pass and keep my fingers crossed. You?

@KNOWITALL Storms can be interesting to watch and nowadays we all can see them on the TV when they break in to regular programming, every three minutes. In real time. When they say golf ball sized hail is in the area I would hate to get a royal pounding from that although it would be something to share with people at a later time. There is a small storm shelter right out behind our house that I fixed up after years of sitting in a decrepit state. It got me to thinking one day while contemplating a circumstance that would maybe kill us some day a bad storm hits. Like, it would be a boner of a lifetime to be killed by a ‘nado with a storm cellar at our disposal and I was too lazy to fix it when I had the chance.

You like to live life dangerously. I find that strangely attractive.

@woodcutter Yeah I do actually, I get scared and force myself to go through with things sometimes…lol I also drive a little fast sometimes. I worked at a Lamborghini dealership for several years and our shop foreman took me on a ride, wow, that was amazing. Over 100mph and didn’t leave 2nd gear, I highly recommend it for a thrill.

I do have to admit that occasionally I get nervous for my animals (birds and dog) so I take them to my windowless master bath and let them hang out.

Last week we had a storm rolling in and I kept telling my friends “Watch out, wall clouds” then a few minutes later “Storm Watch 2013” in my tv anncr voice….I’m a little dorky I’ll admit but it comes from growing up on a farm. Grandpa always watched the weather, it was a big deal, we even used the farmers almanac (please tell me you know what that it…ha)
