What is the official ribbon colour for ADHD?

Asked by College_girl (917points) March 18th, 2013

So I was diagnosed with ADHD in the second grade and now I’m 20 years old. I’d like to get a ribbon tattoo symbolizing that I have ADHD (like the breast cancer ribbon is pink) but I can’t figure out what the correct colour is for it. I’ve been looking online and some sites say orange and others say purple. Any ideas?

Purple/Orange. As long as it says ADHD on the bottom it’s generally accepted

Is there really a ribbon color for ADHD? Who decides? I can understand the pink and the yellow ribbons, even the camo one but why purple/orange? Why not blue or shades of grey?

I saw some examples of purple ribbons and some in orange.
(I’d like an orange. Now I’m thirsty! Oh look! A purple and orange butterfly!)

But is there more widely used colour for it? Like is purple or orange used more? It’s going on my body forever so I want to be for sure haha

I’m pretty sure it's both, but I'm not totally sure. I have to find out.
