Dag nabbit, what IS this song?

Asked by Berserker (33548points) March 22nd, 2013

I know it’s a classic, and that within two answers, someone will come up with the answer. Even with the little detail that I have.

But DAMN man, I’ve been trying to find it on YoutTube and Google through lyric searching…and it will not come up.

Now I’m not sure what year this is, maybe the eighties? :/ And the only lyrics I remember are ’‘I am the mistress of the night’’. Or something very similar. A woman sings.

Well, that’s all I got.
Every time I try to find anything with this, I get results from a Goth group called Blutengel, which has been a long time favorite for me…it’s so weird getting something you like, but being pissed off at it, since it isn’t what I was looking for.

Does anyone know at all what this song is? I’m pretty sure it must have been pretty popular at one point or another.

Hmmm…

Could you be thinking of “Erotica” by Madonna?

The lyric is I’ll be your mistress tonight

Nope, that isn’t it. Thanks though. :)

Do you have a clip? Also if you remember the rythm SoundHound can help you out, you can humm it.

If I did have that, I could probably find it. I remember the lyrics I posted and how they sound, quite well. But that’s it…and no clip. I just randomly heard this on the radio months ago. Could never find it. :/

@XOIIO stole my suggestion. Soundhound is my best friend.

Could it be Laura Branigan’s “Self Control”?

Lyric: I, I live among the creatures of the night

Laura Branigan’s Self Control was my first thought, too.

Hmm, since you say it’s a classic… could it be Mozart’s Queen of the Night?

@zenzen Dude, that’s it! Well damn…no wonder I could never find it, I didn’t even have the damn lyrics right. Lol. But that is totally it. Thank you. :) :D
