What would be a powerful scene to do an oral reading of from one of these novels by Faulkner?

Asked by Carly (4555points) April 8th, 2013

One of my next projects in my Faulkner class is to pick a scene from either Sanctuary, As I Lay Dying, or The Sound and the Fury, and to do an oral reading (out loud while acting out all the parts). It has to be around 10 minutes, there needs to be at least two characters speaking during at least part of the reading, and I have to end on a powerful note.

I’m not really sure what to do. There are so many scenes, but I’m having a hard time finding one that has a powerful ending to it.

Ugh this is a hard question. I’m definitely voting for The Sound and the Fury, maybe a scene between Quentin and his father? I wish it could be a one character scene, because then I’d definitely vote the first scene with Benji.
