What is a good plugin for statistics for a Wordpress based web site?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37345points) April 25th, 2013

I maintain a web site for a community theater group in a Wordpress format.

What’s a good statistics plugin for it? I don’t need all the data that Google Analytics produces. I am fine with something simpler.

What data do you want?

I would like to know the number of visits to the site, perhaps what pages visitors are hitting, and that sort of thing.

I don’t need the country of origin.

If it’s possible, maybe search terms used to find the site.

This site is mainly used by the members and local people to find out about the group’s activities.

I use statcounter.com
If your traffic is relatively low, it’s a great way to track popular pages and visitor paths. Can be downloaded as a Wordpress plugin.

My buddy really likes getclicky: http://clicky.com/help/apps-plugins#wordpress

(but, hmm, that is probably more than you want)

@phaedryx Thank you. I appreciate the help. The one you mentioned wasn’t on my shortlist, but it is now.

I settled on something called NewStatPress. It’s got just about the right amount of information for me without being overwhelming.
