What movie, or movie scene would you want to personally live, and why?

Asked by TossingSpades (129points) May 17th, 2013

Out of pure curiosity, what scenes from what movie, or what movie as a whole, would you, personally like to live – and as which character? I have a list of movies… I’d love to be in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar, Avatar the Last Airbender, Sherlock, and Doctor Who. That’s only the start of it. Sheesh.

Except for what happens to him at the end—which of course we see coming early on—I’d like to be Denys (Robert Redford) in “Out of Africa.

@janbb, nah, I liked his character more in OOA—not to metntion the romance.

I’d like to dance Leslie Caron’s role in An American in Paris. Why? First I’d like to be able to dance that well; second because the costumes are great; and third because I love Gershwin’s music. And, in the end, she gets her man.

Oh! Ever seen “The Artist?” Fantastic. The main character, of course, would be a good one. Or Marilyn Monroe in “Some Like It Hot.”

Anyone see an amazing film starring the amazing Tilda Swinton called Orlando? It’s about a young man (Swinton) who not only lives several centuries without aging, but changes gender halfway through. Not sure I’d want to be that character, but then again… what a way to experience one’s life!

@Pachyderm_In_The_Room I did. It’s from a book by Virginia Woolf.

I have dreams about living out The Breakfast Club. It’s such an influencing coming-of-age movie. I’d probably end up being the basketcase.

I suppose I’d like to be James Bond. Or should I say Bond, James Bond.

Rick Blaine in Casablanca. I too would have had a hard time giving up Ingrid Bergman.

I’ll have to go with Warren Beatty in ‘Bonnie and Clyde’.

Have sex with a young Faye Dunaway, then go out in a blaze of glory on a small backwoods road in Louisiana..

I’d like to live the role of Captain Louie in Casa Blanca. He was a self serving jerk to an extent, but he was ready and willing to assist his friends, while not being obvious about it. He went along with Ricks plan to assist his girlfriend Ilsa and her hubby to leave Casa Blanca, but made it look like he was being unwillingly coerced to cover his own butt. And he gave the Hungarian couple paperwork to leave, even though he knew Rick had assisted them in cheating at roulette to get the money. A semi slime bag, but not as bad as he put on. I always found him a very sympathetic character.
