Any plans for doing something special for the 4th of July?

I know it was asked in 2010 and 2011, but times and plans change. Of course, to most of the world, July 4th, 2013 will be just another work day. But to us US Jellies it’s our day to celebrate our birth as a free nation. It’s a day for cookouts, concerts, sporting events, and monster fireworks celebrations like those that mark the New Year celebration around the world. This year, since it comes on a Thursday, it’s the start of a 4-day holiday weekend for many; another reason to hoot, holler, and roll out the good times.

If you celebrate American Independence Day (I imagine that, given how fractious Americans can be, there are plenty in the UK that celebrate the day as Good Riddance Day) what are your celebration plans. If it’s no special day where you reside, why not make it special? Make plans to do something exciting on the 4th or the following weekend, then tell us what you aim to do.
