Is it wrong to put dark chocolate syrup on a piece of white chocolate?

I was having a piece of some excellent white chocolate last night and as I went to put the rest of the piece back in the frig I saw the bottle of chocolate syrup and the idea flashed through my mind. I sliced off a piece of the white chocolate and put some syrup on it. OMG was that good. My mouth exploded with flavors. Would any chocolatiers be offended by this? Just a silly thought. Have fun with it. And I’m doing it again tonight.

Chocolate on chocolate is sooo very right. If it involves chocolate, it’s never wrong. Unless you somehow ruin the chocolate. That would be blasphemy, and grounds for decapitation.

Why would it be wrong? Sounds delicious. Tropical drug foods like chocolate (also sugar, coffee, tea) are pretty weird in the first place. There’s no rule book. Do what pleases you!

If the white chocolate is high quality and the chocolate syrup was made with high fructose corn syrup, you are committing an abomination.

Wrong? Who’s to judge? You can put chocolate on anything you want to at any time. There are no real TASTE police. If you do this in the presence of others, count how many jump up and leave the room. If it’s 100%, better do it only in private.

Totally wrong, because I can’t stand dark chocolate and love white chocolate. Now, if you’d said milk chocolate sauce…I’d be all for that. ;)

I love dark chocolate with milk chocolate. I just hope you’re talking about real chocolate syrup and not Hershey’s…

Hey guys, relax. If I knew what really good white chocolate was do you think I’d put Hershey’s on it? This was some good Belgian stuff.

Do they even have white chocolate for vegans? I’m addicted to chocolate lately I’ll try it if I can. I’m drinking loose leaf chocolate tea right now!

@gailcalled that’s reason #6 as to why I’m a vegan. I make my own chocolate syrup with water cocoa powder and cane sugar. Sometimes I want a Starbucks mocha but I won’t touch the chocolate syrup so I get a soy latte bring it home and put in my own chocolate syrup, yummy tastes like a mocha to me, I don’t know if it tastes like theirs but it’s good to me.

Next thing on my list us to get an espresso machine and I’ll make my own! :-P
