Can we find an easier way to learn a method of giving credit where credit is due?

Asked by talljasperman (21916points) July 18th, 2013

In university, I always got docked grades for not giving credit properly. I tried to learn the APA and MLA formatting but It was beyond my ability to understand. Do you have an alternative.

@talljasperman There is a website called Noodlebib. You type in the info from your sources and it spits out a proper citation.
All that formatting was beyond me as well.
That website seriously saved my ass.
There is also a website, I can’t remember the name, where you submit a paper you have written and it checks for possible plagiarism. 10% and under is, if I remember correctly, acceptable. Anything more than that and you need to go back and do a little fine tuning.

@Katniss the plagiarism website is turnitin.com. There are several citation generating sites including Noodle Tools and EasyBib. Most are accessed through college library Web sites. Maybe Noodlebib is a free version?
