What are these small bumps on my arm?

Asked by Obscurethinktank (135points) July 27th, 2013

I’ve had tiny bumps on my upper arm near my shoulder, I’ve had them for about 5 years, and nobody can explain to me what they are. I have tried to figure out what they are and these are my results: The’re not “Goosebumps”, the’re not present anywhere except from my elbow up, The’re not ingrown hairs, the’re not blemishes, and the’re not going away! please help me figure out what they are.

It could be yeast.

Sounds like keratosis pilaris.
It’s a common and harmless skin condition that kind of looks like “permanent” goosebumps and is most common on the backs of the upper arms and backs of the thighs, but it can appear other places on the body, including the face.

There isn’t a “cure” but lotions containing AHAs are good for reducing the appearance. I like Eucerin Intensive Repair.

It’s hard for us to tell without actually seeing them. You should see a dermatologist.

I don’t know but I want to say you’re not alone so don’t worry about it.
