[NSFW] Did you realize the tiny female gland is massive internally?

Asked by gorillapaws (30512points) August 11th, 2013

An article came up in my newsfeed that linked to this interesting article about the anatomy of the clitoris from back in 2011. I was really surprised to see just how massive the internal structure of the clitoris is, and how it wraps around the vaginal canal. Is this news to anyone else, or just me?

Makes me want to start experimenting with new and innovative ways to stimulate the whole thing instead of the little love button.

Additional interesting reading. (has chapters on individual anatomy sections, so reminded me of this) –

Lots of fun if you have a willing and communicative volunteer to experiment on.

That first X-Ray image @gorillapaws… Didn’t Captain Kirk have to fight a few of those?

I didn’t know that intellectually but I’ve certainly felt that physically. Seeing the visuals explains a lot.

@funkdaddy I thought the ‘review’ from Cosmopolitan was amusing – along the lines of ‘tell your man to put down the remote control and pick up ‘She Comes First’.
I never knew there was so much going on inside me, so to speak!

Why isn’t this info in the product information and users guide that comes with product?
It should be. Thanks for passing it on.

I thought this was general knowledge at this point. Though now that you mention it, I can’t remember how or when I learned it. Certainly not in sex ed.

Excellent article. Although if you print if off there’s 35 pages of comments. Just so you’re warned.
