I don't understand how one responds to a response 'offline'....?
I received a private response and don’t understand how to respond
back….:)

Under their “private message’ to you there is a button that says “Reply.” Click on it and a comment cox will open up. When you are done entering the message, you can send it and it will show up in that person’s account as a “Message for you.”
You can also just click on their avatar to go to their profile page, and click on “Message”. Welcome to Fluther!
Note that you need to be online to send the message, but the recipient doesn’t have to be. They will receive it next time they log in.
