What's the best way to make a copy of a DVD?

No worries, there are no copyright or DRM issues here. This is not a commercial DVD.
I’m just wondering what is the best way to make a copy without having one of those heavy-duty machines that can make dozens of copies within minutes. I just have a PC (Windows 7).
