What software should I use?

I have to do an advertising thing on our promotional screen at work. It must consist of slideshow clips with music in the background and a few video clips. It must show a few slides than a video clip and than a few slides again.
I was thinking of Microsoft PowerPoint but I am not sure if it will work.

Try Camtasia. You can download a fully functional 30-day trial version for free. It’s my go-to for projects like this.

Powerpoint if you already have it. If not there are free alternatives (Google Docs presentations, Libre Office).

But because of its popularity, Powerpoint will have more online help and books to help you learn.

Sounds like you already have PowerPoint. I would use that. Should be just fine for your purpose.

It’s better to choose other software to create slideshow kind of video. Well, I use Animoto for that which gives me better option or more tools like theme set.
