Is it possible to buy Happy Meal toys without getting the food?

Asked by flip86 (6213points) September 17th, 2013

Next month McDonald’s has Batman toys and I want them for my daughter. I’d prefer not to get the food.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, Happy meals are right around $2 a piece. Grab the toy and chuck the food away.

I think you can buy them separately, but if I remember correctly it actually costs more to do that.

I’ve seen it happen..cost about half the price of the whole meal. Just ask.

I used to buy the toys without the meal for my son. I didn’t mind him having the toys, but I didn’t want him eating that many happy meals. They only charged me a dollar apiece for the toys.
The price may have gone up, however, seeing as that was 12 years ago.
Just ask them.

Or give the food to someone homeless!

The toys are $2 each.

I’m at McDonald’s right now. According to the staff, the toys are available for $1.69 + tax without purchasing the meal.

Yes, I do it all the time. I don’t remember what it costs, but it’s not a lot.
