How do you track a conversion path across multiple website domains in Google Analytics?

Asked by gambitking (4206points) September 18th, 2013

Okay, so I have a single ‘hub’ website that handles all of my customer conversions (order processing, etc). But I have about 10 other domains that bring in customers to that conversion hub.

I’m looking for the best way to set this up in Google Analytics so that the visitor path, including the original referral source (google search keywords, etc) are trackable from any of these 10 “spoke” domains through to the thank-you page of the hub after conversion.

This article from google shows how to consolidate multiple domains into a single report. There are some minor changes to the tracking code.

From there you should be able to set up your funnels or track paths just like you normally would within one domain I believe.
