Yeah. Being a house cat would be much better.

Yes, it is…insanely so.
Blame it on the industrial revolution that set up society to make slaves that owe their soul to the company store.
Oh man, I am being severely tested right now, yes, what I wouldn’t give to be a cat owned by somebody like me.

@ragingloli I’d rather be a hawk or some other large bird of prey.

Yeah, what a drag having to walk and talk, breath, eat and drink, have sex, love friends and relatives, spend money, watch TV, Fluther…

@Pachyderm_In_The_Room All those things you mention, aside from television/fluther and money are all things other animals enjoy.

You also have to worry about money, paying taxes, paying rent, paying for electricity, buying food, buying clothes for you and your kids, bring the spawn to school, worry about them going to university, worry about them getting abducted by priests, them taking drugs, killing themselves in car accidents, getting sick, getting violent and criminal, then you have to worry about your job, your job security, your retirement, your healthcare, criminals breaking into your home, fire hazards, and I am sure there are millions of other things a human has to constantly worry about. Pure stress.
As a cat, you do not give a shit about any of those. You have free food, free housing, and free petting and playtime, and if you want, you can still get out and rape a female cat without repercussions that you would care about at the moment.

Yes, definitely a chore. We live far too long these days.

All you can do is hope the moments of joy outweigh the negatives. When I feel down I may go pick up trash along the road or help an elderly neighbor, get myself out of my head by helping others.

No, it’s a piece of piss.

Pachy's avatar

Yes, @flip86, but I’ll bet animals don’t perceive and appreciate these things the way humans do.

No. If I thought that, I would sign an organ donor card and kill myself.

We hold liberty to be among our highest ideals and then go into a panic over all the choices we have to make.
