Videos from .mov to .mp4 format?

Asked by eli23 (1points) September 22nd, 2013

I recorded some videos on my iPhone that I transferred to my iPad. After a really long time, I was finally able to get them on my computer, but they won’t play. I need something that can change the format (at least that’s what I’m thinking), and I’ve installed several different programs, but I’m finding that none of them are working. The main issue is, the .mov videos won’t even open using that program.
What can I do to make my videos play on the computer, and convert them to a format that will allow me to transfer them to another device if I wanted?
Please and thank you!

To Seek_Kolinahr:
It seems you’re so focused on finding out if I have some other account but I don’t. Two people can ask the same question if they’d like, can’t they? I’m brand new to the site and just figured out how to reply. I didn’t know someone else asked the same question before me- I would have just found that question and looked for the answer. I’m not feeling very welcomed here but I would appreciate it if someone could help me because I’ve had this question for a really long time…

elbanditoroso:
Thanks for the suggestion but that was actually the last one I tried… for soe reason the videos won’t open in the program. Do you know of any other programs I could try?

[mod says]: Eli and Annie are not the same person. IP and carrier is different, location is different.

No need for panic or attacking people. I am removing the off-topic posts, let’s keep it on track as we’re in General here.

@eli23 – I know that there are others. But in all honesty, I haven’t used them enough to say what works best.

Whenever I have these video tech questions I always go to somewhere like Best Buy and ask them what software will convert said file to the needed type. I had this kind of problem with .avi files, and happened upon Elements 7.
