What's the greatest simple thing in the world?

Asked by DWW25921 (6498points) September 24th, 2013

I’d have to go with a new pair of socks. When I was a kid I used to hate getting socks as a present. Now that I’m older I appreciate things like that. I bought a nice pair of fuzziness (fancy comfy socks) at a flea market a few days ago, ooh heaven.

What’s your simple thing?

Teen burger, with chilled and frosted mug of root beer.

Love. Simple enough a newborn can do it but complicated enough lots of adults can’t figure it out.

I must also go with a new pair of socks. They take me to a warm and fuzzy place.

A really good coffee mug with a heft that fits well in my hand, filled with a good cup of fresh brewed coffee.

Hot water, as in a wonderful shower.
Followed by fresh air, sunshine and ice cream.
Watermelon ranks pretty high for me too, and cats and coffee. No, not dunking my cats in my coffee.:-D

@jonsblond Oooh yes, and….super soft micro plush blankets! I’m getting naked under mine in just a few minutes. lol

I’m good with the socks thing.

@Coloma hits the nail on the head for me about the hot shower, watermelon and cats. I also love a grilled cheese sandwich, opening a package from UPS or FedEx (especially a new electronic toy), a freshly mowed lawn, a chilly autumn morning, catching an old Sinatra tune on the car radio, my birthday (which is coming up in a few weeks), a close shave, a new toothbrush, a full tank of gas, custard, and too many other things to list here.

@ucme Careful though, if you blow oxygen into a vagina your world will collapse.
