I’m watching a marathon of the Halloween movies. What’s your favorite movie to watch during the Halloween month?

Of all time? Fright Night. One I caught relatively recently that scared the heck out of me is Event Horizon.

“Silence of the Lambs” for real suspense and scares, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” for funny scares.

@Adirondackwannabe I love Halloween. Can you believe I have never watched Friday the 13th. I think on one weekend, I will have a movie day and watch them all.

@lx102303 Hey lx! I plan on watching that one soon.

@livelaughlove21 Nightmare on Elm Street is a favorite

@augustlan Same here.

@chyna I watched it on TV last week. Thank goodness it was edited! That is one horrifying movie.

@Valerie111 Friday the 13th is good, just watch the original version, not on TV.
@Smitha I watched the trailer for the Conjuring yesterday. It gave me the creeps.

@Adirondackwannabe : I stopped watching horror film for some times as they became so much routine with tons of blood and gore . After seeing the trailer I thought of watching this one, it definitely has some chilling and thrilling moments that most of the horror films are missing these days.

@ucme The original Omen is my mom’s favorite. The Omen is right up there with The Exorcist on being the scariest movie.

@Smitha I saw previews for The Conjuring on TV. It reminds me a little of Paranormal Activity and that movie scared the crap out of me.

livelaughlove21's avatar

@Valerie111 The Conjuring wasn’t anything like Paranormal Activity. I enjoyed both, but The Conjuring was way better.

@livelaughlove21 Good to know, thanks. I might watch it then :)

“The Birds”
“War of the Worlds”

Before your time @Valerie111 , I know, but the scarey things we see as children stick with us the most!

naynay86's avatar

All the Halloween’s, but especially Halloween H20. I will also have to say a new one I enjoyed was The Conjuring.

Valerie111's avatar

@ibstubro The Birds was a good movie. It wasn’t so much that it was scary but it’s freaky thinking about a bunch of birds attacking the house and that women. I never saw the original War of the Worlds but I loved the remake with Tom Cruise. ;)

Valerie111's avatar

@naynay86 I liked Halloween H20 too. It sounds like I need to watch The Conjuring.

naynay86's avatar

@Valerie111 yess! see The Conjuring, haven’t been that scared in a while, actually gave me the chills and goosebumps.

ibstubro's avatar

@Valerie111 I’m not much on scarey movies any more. Back in ‘the day’, The Birds WAS a scarey movie. It wasn’t all the blood and guts, it was what was left to your imagination that scared you the worst.
