What do men want...

Asked by mambo (2749points) November 2nd, 2013

…in their Christmas stocking?

I am filling up a Christmas stocking for my boyfriend. He’s in his twenties and possibly the most complicated person to shop for. He likes things like video games, working outside, building things, electronics, weapons, and other standard “guy things”. He’s not a drinker, so anything alcohol related would not be appropriate.

I’m quite possibly the most inept Christmas shopper on the planet. Please help me, fluther. I know you guys have some good ideas.

Blow jobs! lol ;-)

Maybe make him some “coupons” to cash in for a great dinner, wild sex, spring for a night in a hotel, a Home Depot gift certificate, concert tickets, food items, nuts, candy, beef jerky etc.
A gift card to Gamestop or other video related stores, etc.
Gun and video magazines, maybe a subscription?
He likes working outside…get him some rubber mud boots for winter projects, some nice leather work gloves, a new jacket..okay, that’s about all the brain power I can muster this early in the morning, good luck!

@Coloma He already gets quite a few blowjobs, but the other ideas are great! He did hurt his hand while wielding a machete earlier this month, so the gloves really are a fabulous idea.

Pistachio’s, and anything that can make the man cave more comfortable… maybe a king sized comforter.

Yo dog, we heard you like socks, so we put a sock into the sock that we put into the christmas sock, so you can get a sock when you get a sock out of the sock.

@Seek_Kolinahr – holy crap that website is amazing. Thank You.

If your guy likes weapons, then ammo or a way to make his own ammo is always a hit and might fit in a stocking.

If you want a cute way to do a booklet of gift cards there is this “Nifty Gifties” set that lets you make your own, or insert cards from places he likes (e.g. Lowe’s, Cabela’s, Game Stop) and they look amazing and can be on a ring.. hard to explain, but very cool looking. You could make some of your own mixed in with store bought cards..

I stuff my boyfriend’s stocking with a bunch of every day stuff that he uses: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, cologne, floss, shampoo, Advil, hair gel.

I’ll take most of what @Valerie111 listed in her answer above for my stocking too. Thanks. =)

@Seek_Kolinahr I want you to be my secret Santa.

Along with thinkgeek.com I get a lot of my adult children and children in law things from stupid.com for their stockings.

I want to be everybody’s secret Santa. I just need to convince Bill Gates that it’s an educational foundation, or something. ^_^

@Seek, they have it on amazon cheaper but the reviews say its a bitch to put together. Once it’s together it’s rock solid apparently.
