How to import a html table into mysql?

Asked by zarnold (708points) June 25th, 2008

OK, so I’m kind of new at this…I have a html table and I want to import a fully functional and editable version of it into mysql, preferably using free/open sourceware. I googled various relevant topics, and found nothing. Is there a built in mysql command or come sort of script that I could run? It would save me a ton of time. Thanks!

Do you have a link to the table? Unless somebody is aware of a script that I haven’t come across, the script would be specific to the table and shouldn’t be too hard to write.

You can import delimited file data directly into mysql tables if you can get your html table into a form it will take.

You sure can. That’s probably the easiest option if you can get it into a delimited form. If not, a manual script could be written with relative ease (which would actually indirectly use delimited importing…)
