Not being nasty, but is there a jelly net/filter that the new phylum Cnidaria fall into before coming through to the main pool?

Asked by ZEPHYRA (21750points) November 21st, 2013

How has this part of the ocean suddenly become so full? Is the Fluther promotions department doing excellent work, has some huge wave pushed all these good people through? Undoubtedly,a large number of them are top grade jellies and just what Fluther needs. But, do they all stay on, do they just swim around observing or are they stirring the tide pool?

LOL… how well I recall this question, almost word-for-word, during the Answerbag diaspora of December 2009, when I joined.

Try to find a quiet part of the pool to hang in while the new fry muddy up the littoral, @ZEPHYRA. They’ll be old-timers before you know it.

@ZEPHYRA I think the new Freshman class arrived when Amazon slammed the door on the members of Askville. We were versed in this type of forum, but were held to a—higher- different standard as far as obscene language and being respectful.

Undoubtedly the influx continues because Askville allowed about 4 hours for members to happen to log in, see the notice and try to connect with other members. We most of us had no way to contact our (strictly) on-line friends. The networking continues, and the new members undoubtedly bring friends an family tagging along.

So yes, a lot of the top quality new members are likely here to stay. Askville, at the end, was like a wooden bucket with a couple inches of barely livable water in it. Amazon kicked it over and many of us have landed in your ocean.

We’ve been welcomed and well received. :-)
