That’s too narrow a question. Care to broaden it?

(My cat Milo meows in either G# or A above middle C.)

^OK. Do you know any interesting thing about the world you wish to share? Like why the sea is full of salt, or how old the earth really is?

It is mathematically probable that you have ingested water that once passed through Edgar Allan Poe’s bladder.

This is because there are more molecules in a glass of water than there are glasses-worth of water in the world.

When two hippos are about to fight, they point their anuses at each other, wag their stubby little tails vigorously, and flick feces at each other.

Not unlike John Boehner and Harry Reid.

When a large comet crashed into the Sun in August, this happened. The sea is full of salt because NaCl is highly hygroscopic and readily leaches out of rocks and soil that rainwater and snow meltoff passes over as it runs into rivers and eventually into Earth’s oceans. And the Earth is 4.54 billion years old. That’s old even compared to a codger like me.

@anniereborn There is a remarkable clarity of message in that.

1) In the Air and Space museum, there is a model of the mothership from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. If you look really closely, there is the tiniest replica of R2D2 on there.

2) The classic wine pairings for Thanksgiving dinner are Pinot Noir and Riesling, because they have lots of acidity and low/ no tannin. The acidity refreshes you after all the rich fatty food, just like a glass of lemonade or cranberry juice (only more delicious-er.)

Lots of other wines have these qualities: pinot gris, gruner veltliner from Austria, barbera from Italy, Beaujolais, unoaked chardonnay, and syrah/ zinfandel on a case-by-case basis.

If you want to have a real foodgasm, followed by a food coma, bring out a fortified wine at dessert. Tawny ports or PX sherry often taste like dates, raisins, toffee, chocolate, and toast. Drink a little thimbleful alongside your pumpkin pie or pecan pie. It’s glorious.

@anniereborn I’m going to start making misleading links to that at every opportunity. Like, “hey, look at these cute kittens, playing with yarn!” Really giant hippo shart.

The classic pirate skull and crossbones flag is called the ’‘Jolly Roger’’.

The shape of wine, cognac, and tequila glasses are different to cause the drink to touch a different part of the tongue, and therefore taste buds.
Wine will taste slightly different if you drink from a different shaped glass.
