Are there any fiction writers on Fluther?

Asked by Mimishu1995 (23626points) November 27th, 2013

Are there any fiction writers here? I need some help with my story plot.
Since I cannot find any good writers’ forum and I want to discuss the matter directly with a writer, I decide to turn to your help. So who are writers here?

Yeah, I wrote a sci-fi novel last year and am working on revising it and writing its sequel during my rare spare time. I don’t know how good I would be for helping someone else, though, because 1) I spend little time on Fluther these days school is hard and 2) I don’t actually know what I’m doing when it comes to writing, I just kind of spew onto the paper.

Quite a few, last I checked. @mattbrowne is the only published fiction writer on here that I know of. His book is sci-fi.

@KNOWITALL My only published book is highly technical, covering an arcane area of how to miniaturize electronic circuits when a single chip won’t suffice. I have written some fiction for magazines. My next book will be a major work of fiction, but one I have yet to sell to a publisher. So my credentials are limited.

@Mimishu1995 The book I am currently researching will be fiction exposing the ascendancy and ultimate fiery meteoric demise of a destructive cult leader. I am doing a great deal of research on it, because it is my hope it will expose how destructive cults recruit then brainwash new members, and thus save some people from falling victim to Malignant Pied Pipers like Jim Jones and David Koresh.
