Do you think you're tough?

Mostly, I like to pretend I think I’m tough.

No. I have no problem screaming like a little girl and running away at the first sign of peril. I don’t think of it as cowardice as much as self preservation.

I am 57 years old, have a bad back, and have always been terribly sentimental.
On the flip, I am 6’2, very strong, and I have learned how to manage my pain.
I am tough enough.

Nope. Total weakling here. Bad thyroid, bad back, bad ovaries, bad sinuses, and I even cry during commercials. I could go on but don’t want to sound like my mother.

Physically yes, emotionally not so much. Old people, animals, children melt me. People I care about I really care about, too, you cry I cry kind of person. But I don’t take any crap either when it comes to seeing someone hurt or ridiculed in any way I will stand up to the biggest bada&& with no fear.

No. People think I am, sometimes, but that’s because I’m good at pretending.

I’m tough in the sense that I now know I can deal with what life throws at me but not tough in terms of hard and uncaring.

It would be interesting to know if anyone here has ever gotten in a fight?! I have had a few confrontations but never actually had to throw a punch or slap or anything- lol

Only when I’ve needed to be. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to turn it on or off when I want to.

I’m not strong physically, but I am emotionally resilient.

I am not the least bit tough and I never have been, so I’m used to it.

I grew up in an alcohol induced chaotic abusive mess. I am 45 now. I haven’t totally fallen over the edge yet. I’d say I’m tough.

I thought I was tough until my sister-in-law passed away recently. I realize I am a basket case hanging on by a thread. A frayed one. It is hard for me to think I will ever be tough again.

Nope, I’m a complete softie. I hate it.

Physically I’m pretty brave but stronger emotionally. I’m tougher than anyone I know. I just try to use it only when I have to but if they make the mistake of thinking they can bully me because I’m a smaller woman they soon find out they’ve underestimated me.
