Asked by Eggie (5921points) December 28th, 2013

When I have a diarrhea, I get a really bad burning sensation in my rectum. Can anyone explain why this happens? Also how can I stop the diarrhea fast?

Combination of chemical and mechanical irritation – digestive enzymes, water, and toilet tissue in greater frequency than usual.

Continue taking in fluids, avoiding alcohol, sugary beverages and acidic juices, and try an over-the-counter medicine like Immodium.

Using a baby wipe soaked in a little 50% witch hazel can help with the burning.

Vasoline for the skin irritation around anus.
