How can I be less of an awkward girl talking to someone I just met?

I look alright but when it comes to meeting new people I am a miserable wreck! I smile a lot, and I flirt a lot without even knowing it.

I suppose I don’t know how to be relaxed and charming. Are they simple ways to accomplish this?
