It’s not bad. Cluttered as usual – a side effect of a too-small house and too much stuff. But it’s clean.

Not at all. It needs a good dusting (especially the ceiling fan), but there’s nothing on the floor that shouldn’t be there. And we don’t eat in our bedroom. I haven’t done that since I was a teenager.

A pillow fell on the floor and I put it back on the bed otherwise it is immaculate.

@johnpowell You would like my wood burning stove. Cardboard boxes, papers, anything combustible is converted to heat at a rate of 20 pounds of crap = 1 gallon of heating oil = $3.59. Old phone book? Toss it in the stove. It’s worth a buck! And “Poof” it’s gone.

@Cruiser I hope you replaced the pillowcase first.

Pretty messy. My bed isn’t made, a laundry basket full of folded laundry on the floor, a few boxes, because we still haven’t moved into a house yet, and my nightstand has a few thing on top that should be put away. No food though, I rarely eat in my room and I can’t imagine leaving food or dirty dishes in my room.

Which room would I consider “mine?” I really like my Woman Cave, IE: the room that my computer is in. I’ve really stamped it with my personal preferences. It’s pretty clean. Need to straighten up the table that the computer sits on and I have a few files to put away, but other than that it’s pretty clean.

It is clean but needs picking up. My wife is out of town for a few days and she is a putterer, constantly putting things up where they go. I am not. It gets done as I notice it. Is the bed made? Ha! I am going to use it again tonight. I have pulled the covers over it to keep the cat hair to a minimum. She lets me use “her” bed at night.

Quite a bit. My sister has been living with me the last few months, and I haven’t gotten back to my usual state of semi-organizedness. I did go through my bookcase yesterday – so that, at least, looks great.

It’s not disastrous, but getting there. I need to do laundry, take out the recycling, and declutter desktops and dressers. It gets this way as I close in on an important deadline. I keep telling myself that I will fix it as soon as I submit my manuscript, but we’ll see.
