What's the weather like near you?

In southern NY state, the prediction was for the big storm to come overnight. Schools are closed and it’s supposed to be big accumulations, stopping tonight and then re-starting after midnight tonight for more snow by Friday morning. The temperature is supposed to hover just around freezing today, which means slushy ice (or icy slush) and then it’s supposed to drop after sundown, which means if you’re not home by then, it’s going to be bad getting home.

I just woke up and there are only a few inches, not what was expected.

My daughter’s school is closed, and I’m not going to work because if I do, I may have a 3 hour ride home and I don’t feel like taking that chance.
