Avatar- am I doing something wrong?

I tried to change my avatar and on the screen that lets you pick a photo you uploaded they all look like the one I most recently downloaded (my homage to Gene Simmons). There should be three different pics there. My responses all still show my old blue hair avatar, and apparently my home screen shows my new one, which I would prefer all around at the moment. What am I doing wrong here?
