For anyone who munched on an Easter egg today, what variety was it?

Asked by ucme (50047points) April 20th, 2014

Meaning, if it came with sweets or chocolate bars, what brand were they?
I devoured a Creme Egg…err, egg.

We don’t usually have the filled with a bag of sweets hollow chocolate eggs here in the States. We have other kinds of Easter candy. My kids were ecstatic in England when they discovered English Easter eggs – and so was I.

@janbb Oh, I didn’t know that, so this question will most likely go down the plughole with yankee bandidos. They don’t know what they’re missing :)

It was real, over-medium.

@ucme I think don’t get discouraged, we Americans have plenty of Easter egg varieties to talk about, including creme eggs by Cadbury. Probably people will mention other Easter candies (sweeties) like chocolate bunnies and jelly beans. My favorites are the creme eggs and Lindt chocolate bunnies.

@JLeslie It’s all good then, including @ARE_you_kidding_me‘s bad yolk.

I had a hard boiled egg for lunch.

Easter egg, egg on Easter Day…big difference.

It was an Easter egg. I made it and ate it specifically because it was Easter.

I was sad when my grandkids told me that they couldn’t color eggs this year because they’re brown in Scotland.
The closest I got to an egg today was a somewhat oval shaped cantaloupe.

@Judi What a shame, Brown Eggs look beautiful and rich when they’re dyed.

We had deviled eggs and potato salad with hard boiled eggs in it. I didn’t get my hands on a Reese’s egg this year. :/

^^ So yum!

@janbb We don’t? You are talking about these right?

I ate some filled with nut brittle, as well as Daim chocolate and hazelnut praline. All of them were delicious.

@livelaughlove21 REESE’S MAKE EASTER EGGS??

I dye brown eggs straight from the farm for easter and they were the brightest darkest colors I ever had. The real egg easter egg was the only one I had today and it was pretty yummy!!

I have my Easter chicken wings from Boston Pizza.

I munched on a real easter egg today, a deviled duck egg, courtesy of Lucy the Pekin duck and Marwyns stall mate at the ranch. :-)

@gailcalled I love those eggs, I need to plan my next trip to France close to Easter so to be able to see these spectacular eggs in person.

Beaster time!

I didn’t have a single Easter egg this year. I’m a bit sad about that.

@livelaughlove21 The link appears as “Forbidden”, but I googled Reese’s Eggs. Wow. Now, there is just the small problem of obtaining one of those :/

livelaughlove21's avatar

@longgone Walmart can definitely solve your problem. I saw them there this past weekend on sale.

^ I wish. I’m in Germany. We barely get ridiculously overpriced regular Reese’s Pieces.
