Do credit card companies ever check up on your web login answers?

I was signing up on a credit card company’s bill pay site this morning. They wanted me to give my SSN, card number, etc, which makes sense.

But they also wanted me to give data such as:
– name of elementary school
– city in which I was married
– name of high school sports team
– best friend in elementary school
– favorite movie

Do they check on any of this? If I said I went to Washington Elementary School (even though I went to Wilson), are they going to come back at me and charge me with fraud?
