Do you find it moral when a person becomes quite wealthy from liquor?

I have a nice, intelligent Facebook friend who inherited a fortune from his parents. They operated a big liquor store in Beverly Hills for decades and really raked in the cash. Now he travels the world with his sweet girlfriend.
Is this distasteful or vulgar to you? Or do you feel he deserves it since he is a sober person who does community work and belongs to many service organizations?
