What is the minium that one can buy shares in any stock?

Asked by talljasperman (21721points) May 10th, 2014

From the cheapest company? Maybe a half penny share? To practice without any major risk. How much would the cheapest way cost?

The smallest amount is one share. The least cost is 1 cent. But don’t forget you have to pay a commission and transaction fees.

Since you live in Canada, call up TD Bank or Royal Bank of Canada, and ask them. They will answer your question over the phone.
