How do you create a mobile version of your site?

I have a website that I would like to create a web 2.0 version for but I don’t know how.

Well….first set up a mobile subdomain, something like then make the page smaller, and adapt it for the iphone :p that’s as mobile as it needs to be….oh, where you talking about the cell phone kinda mobile?

What is your website, will help.

The trouble is that there isn’t a overall mobile standard. Screen sizes vary and you may want to create several style sheets for different screens.

Cameron Moll’s Mobile Web is the only book I would buy/read on the subject.

Thanks Breefield, how would I create a subdomain? Is it free?

It’s probably in the control panel of your web hosting somewhere, under “domains” mayhaps.

breefield, my website is free, so I don’t have that.

If you don’t have paid hosting, you can not create sub-domains.
