Glastonbury Festival starts today. What are some of your stories about going to a music festival?

Went to Ozzfest in 2007 and 2008.

The first time, I got there late and missed Nile, the rest of the music was so awful I slept through most of it, and Ozzy sang the first verse of Crazy Train four times.

Second time Goatwhore and Soilent Green played, so that was cool. And Ozzy remembered the lyrics that time.

Dream festival lineup should be a separate question.

I attended many festivals in the 70’s, all the classic rock bands.
Led Zeppelin, The Stones, The Who, Grateful Dead, on and on. Good times.
The last few years my small community hosts this festival. Lots of fun.

Blues, folk, rock, bluegrass, in the hills here on the river. Great setting, great music.

I was at one last week, and I’ll be at another in a few weeks. Such festivals are bountiful where I live.

I went to the Isle Of Wight festival last week which was pretty damn good. Music was primarily rock/pop (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon). Weather was great, the atmosphere was great(we spent the weekend in a tepee). I’d definitely go again.

In the 70s like @Coloma… Led Zeppelin, The Who, the Stones, Traffic, Yes, Neil Young, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Jethro Tull…Blue Grass, the Dead…

I saw The who in 75 at Anaheim Stadium. We rented a room nearby and partied all night before the concert.
This idiot who was with us, Karl Manino, wore a KFC bucket of chicken (empty) on his head and rode around the stadium parking lot on a skateboard calling himself Colonel Quaalude and came back with handfuls of different drugs.
I was so stoned I wound up sober!

If anyone is going to Glastonbury, don’t miss Rodrigo y Gabriela. They are fantastic.
